The reason is that social studies is an interdisciplinary lesson and it is intertwined with both social and human sciences and natural sciences. Social studies is directly related to citizenship education. For this reason, it is difficult to define, as many abstract concepts have caused confusion and misconception. Despite the fact that many books are written in the field of social studies, there are very few books that contain all the lines of the course. ‘Sosyal Bilgiler Öğretimi Demokratik Vatandaşlık Eğitimi’ is a book that embrace social studies from a broad perspective and is capable of responding to all questions of the reader about social studies. This book is written in a comprehensive way from the meaning of social knowledge, historical development process, basic concepts, course content, planning process, basic approaches to program evaluation. It has been a guide in many ways, from the activities that teachers can do about implementing the program, to the teaching of the subjects, to the development of skills. At the same time, democratic citizenship education was dealt with in the light of the constructivist approach in accordance with the title of the book. </p> <p> </p>}, number={2}
