N2  - Entrepreneurshipmakes a huge contribution for economy to improve by opening new businessfields. Traineeship of potential entrepreneurs has come to the forefront by thehelp of popularization of entrepreneurship. For this reason, a lot ofacademical studies have been performed to determine entrepreneurship tendencyof university students. In this study, industrial engineering students areobserved as the sample group which hasn’t been studied with before. The purposeof this study is to determine the effect of demographic characteristics on theentrepreneurship personality characteristics and entrepreneurship tendency;relation/dependance between entrepreneur personality characteristics andentrepreneurship tendency; and the influence of entrepreneurship training onthe entrepreneurship tendency of the students who study in the last grade inDepartment of Industrial Engineering at Kocaeli University. As the result ofanalysis of the data which has been collected from 139 students by survey,existence of an entrepreneur among the students’ family influences theentrepreneurship tendency in a positive way.As for that, it’s been determined that there isn’t relation betweenentrepreneurship tendency and students’ gender and family education level. Bydetermination of a positive relation between entrepreneur personalitycharacteristics and entrepreneurship tendency, it’s reached as a result thatthe entrepreneurship training which is given has increased entrepreneurship tendency.
