Araştırmada nitel olarak yürütülmüş ve dokümananalizi kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın örneklemi bu alanda yapılan 23 ulusalçalışma oluşturmuştur. Araştırmacıların,anne-baba eğitim düzeyi değişkeni ile öğrencilerin fen okuryazarlığı başarısıarasında pozitif bir ilişki olduğunu tespit ettikleri gözlemlenmiştir. Benzerşekilde araştırmalarda, öğrenci karakteristiklerinden olan fene yönelik tutumile öğrencilerin başarısı arasında pozitif ilişki olduğu ve kız öğrencilerinfen okuryazarlığı alanında erkeklerden daha başarılı oldukları raporedilmiştir. İncelenen çalışma sonuçları öğrenmeye ayrılan zaman ile fenokuryazarlığı başarısı arasında pozitif bir ilişki olduğunu göstermiştir. CR - Acar, T. & Ogretmen, T. (2012).
