Bu kuramlardan birincisinde,araştırmacılar konuşma üretimi esnasında farklı birimlerin birbirleriylekarşılıklı etkileşimde olduğunu ve konuşma üretimine ilişkin kararların bubirimleri temsil eden düğümlerin etkinleşme seviyesine göre belirlendiğinivarsaydıklarından, bu kuram doğrultusunda hazırlanmış modeller yayılanetkinleştirme modelleri olarak sınıflandırılmaktadır. Diğer kurama görehazırlanan modeller ise, konuşma üretiminin farklı seviyeler arasında tek yönlübir bağlantının bulunduğu birbirinden ayrı birimler vasıtasıyla gerçekleştiğinideğerlendirdikleri için bu modeller birimsel konuşma üretimi modelleri olaraknitelendirilmektedirler. Bu çalışmanın amacı, ortaya koyulmuş olan bumodellerden en etkili olanlarını derlemek ve konuşma üretimi süreçleriniaçıklamadaki etkinliklerini değerlendirmek ve konuşma üretimini konuşmaakıcısızlıklarının ortaya çıkışı bağlamında incelemektir.
