Material and Method:20 soccer players from the Turkish super league, 20 soccer players from the Turkish2. league, 20 soccer players from the Turkish 3.league and 20 soccer players from theAnkara Super amateur league took part in the first part of the study. All measurements were made two weeks prior to the begining of the season. Data were analyzedusing a one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) with repeated measures, posthoc comparisons by using Tukey’s “honestly significantly different” test for pair wise comparisons. Results: Super League and 2. league players were significantly better thanamateur on Anaerobic threshold run speed (ANTRS). Significant diferences werefound in distance which is covered by players (TODIS) between Super League players and the other level players (p< 0.05). Whereas midfield players had better ANTRSand TODIS than defenders and strikers (p< 0.05).
