N2  - From past to present, Alevism and Bektashism, whichhave lasted in Anatolia have become one of the topics that needs to beinvestigated, with moral, customs and traditions in the history of Islamicsects. While the controversy of Alevism lasting with all its vitality intoday's Turkey, Alevism and Alawiyyun are being interpreted which have varied. In addition, when we have examined the study conducted on Alevism, we have observedthat most of these studies are written without regard to scientific criterion,subjective evaluations are made in the majority of cases and Alevism is beingtried to be positioned with these studies based on unfounded beliefs and bases.With the incompatible traditional practices of the different approaches in theAlevism perception and the different forms of worship that are different fromthe locals, and the inclusion of belief elements within it, is necessary to conduct scientific researcheson Alevism. The traditional Anatolian Alevism is to be learned from living andliving Alevism and studied with historical and current dimensions based onfaith, worship, culture and morality principles. Approximately 80-90 graduatestudies on Alevism have been pursued at the Faculties of Theology. As for thatonly in the history of Islamic sects, as far as we are able to reach there areabout 22 masters thesis as case studies. It has also been observed that about20-25 doctorate studies have been pursued at the Faculties of Theology.However, as far as we can attain in department of history of islamic sects, as acase study, there are a total of 7 studies including a doctoral dissertationand one book. Unlike western researchers those who conduct a study on Alevism,in cases where it is considered as a deficiency, the fact that academic studieson Alevîsm-Bektashism communities have not been carried out yet, in acordance withhistorical and current dimensions up to a certain period in today's Turkey, thecontribution of the case studies made to the world of science is definitelynoncontestable. In our study, we are going to discuss the case study conductedon Alevism contributions to knowledge production at the master and doctoratelevel.
