N2  - The spa and wellness practices, which are often mentioned in Turkish tourism in recent years and enrich the product of tourism in general and particularly of accomodation facilities, has become the center of attraction for researchers under both health tourism and accomodation industry topics. Although it is a new type of service in Turkish tourism, its rapid increase in number in a short time has also brought unsolved problems so far. Basically, these problems can be grouped under the topics of management, legal legislation, marketing and human resources, that is more prominent than the other ones. Under human resources topic, particularly the difficulty of finding qualified employees and methods to overcome that difficulty are quite much discussed in the sector.   This study focuses on human resources in spa and wellness services at accomodation enterprises and aimed to find out the profile of human resources in these service units. Data of the study were obtained by questionnaire method from 141 employees working at spa and wellness units of five star accomodation facilities in Antalya. According to the findings, it was identified that the working staff were predominantly bachelors and high school graduates, approximately one third of them did not have formal tourism education in any level, approximately one of two employees received an external training related to their field of activity, an important part of them were at or below 35 age.  However, it was detected that the participants were generally pleased to work at spa and wellness unit.
