N2  - In order to improve the recognizability of the Turkish currency, and to increase the credibility of the currency, a design contest was organized by the Central Bank of Turkey, on September 8, 2011. After a competition, the Turkish  Lira's symbol was determined and presented to public on March 1, 2012.   The purpose of this study was to develop a valid and reliable Likert type scale, to measure the individuals' attitude toward determination of Turkish Lira's symbol operation. The scale which consist of 22 items and 5 grade Likert type, was applied to 382 person in the center of Görele town, district of Giresun City.    Firstly, the reliability test was performed for 22 items of the survey, and then 2 items which disrupts reliability test results, was discarded and the analysis repeated. The final version of the scale's Cronbachs' Alpha value was found (α = 0.944). So, this "high degree of reliability value" provided us to carry out factor analysis on 20 survey questions. After the exploratory factor analysis, 4 factors were identified for the  scale of attitudes toward Turkish Currency Symbol, and named as "Economic View", "The Necessity", "Appreciation", and "Adaptation".
