N2  - The aim of this research is to analyze the personality traits of Turkish public personnel through the case of Samsun provincial administration. To achieve this aim, data were collected from 186 (112 male/74 female) public personnel and personality analysis was performed by using SPSS 20.0 program. In addition; it was examined that the personality differs or not according to sex, marital status, age, education level, and seniority.   Results show that personality traits of the public personnel working at the Samsun province are anxious, incompatible, introvert and have leastwise responsible and openness for experiencing. In addition to these, men are more compatible; married personnel are more open to experience new things than single ones; college graduates are more extroverted than high school graduates; when seniority in the office increased, there is a reduction in responsibility and behavior of personnel, yet with the seniority there is an increase in terms of behaving more openly to experience new things.
