N2  - The World Trade Organization (WTO) is an international system that constitutes an instutitional and judicial international body dealing with the global rules, process and procedure of trade between nations.  The rules of the WTO are more detailed and comprehensive than those of the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade (GATT). The WTO replaced the GATT in order to ensure the resolution of commercial disputes between member states and so as to construct a dispute resolution system. The system is based on the Understanding on Rules and Procedures Governing the Settlement of Disputes (DSU) as a result of achievements reached over a long period of time and experience gained concerning the settlement of disputes in accordance with the established rules and methods of detection. The DSU encompassed concerned with disputes arising from resolution rules and methods regarding the WTO Agreement, the GATT 1994 system, all other merchandise trade agreements, the General Service Agreement on Trade and the Trade-Related Intellectual Property Rights Agreement. In this study there was an examination and evaluation of the dispute resolution system and how the system in question is a party to disputes in China.
