Magnesium and its alloys attract attention as alightweight, high strength and also reliable material in reducing fuel consumption. Magnesium is not only lightweight as aplastics material but also resistant as a metalic material. High pressure die casting of magnesium alloys is the fastest growing andthe most developing sector in the magnesium part production industry. In this study, a general assessment that castability ofmagnesium alloys in the high pressure die casting and the moldability of high pressure die casting products was performed andthe recent related studies was compiled. It is found that magnesium and its alloys are increasingly preferred material which has agood moldability behaviour in forming or manufacturing.
