The sampling method was used for this research have received basictraining handball 36 (18 girls and 18 boys) formed the study sample group ofchildren. The children who participated in the research weredivided into 3 (control group and two different trainings) groups. The experimental group consisted ofhandball players (24 athletes) who were active in handball while the controlgroup consisted of handballs and also non-trained children (12 athletes) whowere not actively involved in another sports branch. Experimental groups weredivided into traditional handball(12 athletes) and neuromuscular+traditionalhandball training group(12 athletes) and performed a total of 24 handballtraining. For all research groups, sprint, agility and reaction timemeasurements were performed as pre-test and post-test. Data wastested for normality with the “Kolmogorov Smirnov Test”. “Signed Rank Test” was used to determinethe difference between pre and post tests. The “Kruskal-Wallis H Test” was usedto detect the diffence betwenn groups. The “Pairwise Multiple Comparisons Test”was used, for detecting the differences between groups. The difference between preand post-test measurements of sprint and agility tests of girls and boys weredetermined. In addition, it was determined that there were difference betweenpost-test measurements of the girls' right visual reaction tests, whereas theboys' left visual reaction tests. However, it was determined that there was adifference between the sprint and agility levels of girls and boys in both 8-weekstraining models. As a result, it was found that 8-weeks traditional handball and neuromuscular+traditionalhandball training groups were increased the sprint levels of boys andgirls by equal levels (9%). In addition, traditionalhandball were increased agility levels of girls and boys by 3%, whereas neuromuscular+traditional handball training wereincreased by 5%. Neuromuscular training should be preferred especially toincrease agility in the pre-competition period. CR - Açıkada, C., & Ergen, E. (1990). Bilim ve spor. Ankara: Büro-tek ofset Matbaacılık.
