AB  - Objectives: Thisstudy aims to introduce the concept of “organizational prisonization” experiencedby employees, and their reactions as “assimilation to” or “separation from” theorganization; to introduce the measurement scales for all these variablesdeveloped; and also to test whether organizational prisonization predicts thesereactions. Methods: Preliminary studieswith an emic approach following content analysis for the exploration of thevariables, and for the development of scales; and an empirical study including factorand reliability analyses for the scales and regression analyses to test theprediction relation, were conducted. Results: It wasrevealed that organizational prisonization significantly predicts the reactionsof “assimilation to organization” in a negative way and of “separation from theorganization” in a positive way. Originality: The study claims that the prisonizationconcept which is so real and factual for the employees in today’s organizationsas well, and have a potential to be investigated for future researches in thefield of organizational behavior.

N2  - Amaç: Bu çalışmaçalışanların deneyimlediği “örgütte mahkumlaşma” kavramını ve bu duruma tepki olarak ortayakonan “örgüte asimilasyon” ve “örgütten ayrışma” değişkenlerini tanıtmayı;örgütte mahkumlaşmanın bu tepkileri yordayıp yordamadığını test etmeyi; ayrıcabu değişkenlerin ölçümü için geliştirilen ölçeklerin tanıtılmasınıamaçlamaktadır. Yöntem: Değişkenlerin keşfive ölçek ifadelerinin geliştirilmesi için, sonuçları içerik analizi ileyorumlanan emic yaklaşım temelli ön çalışmalar ile; ölçekler için faktör vegüvenirlik analizleri ve yordama ilişkisinin testi için regresyon analizleriniiçeren ampirik bir çalışma yapılmıştır. Sonuçlar: Bu çalışma örgütte mahkumlaşmanın çalışanınörgüte asimilasyonunu olumsuz yönde ve örgütten ayrışma tepkilerini olumluyönde anlamlı şekilde yordadığını göstermektedir. Özgün Değer: Bu çalışma ile “mahkumlaşma” kavramınıngünümüz örgüt çalışanları için de oldukça gerçek bir durum olduğu ve kavramınörgütsel davranış alanındaki gelecek çalışmalar için bir potansiyel taşıdığıdüşünülmektedir.
