Materials and Method: 45 male and 36 female, 81 patients with schizophrenia in total participated to the study. Activity performances were evaluated using the Canadian Occupational Performance Measure (COPM), and life satisfactions were evaluated using the Satisfaction Life Scale (SWLS). Depression evidence were determined using the Calgary Depression Scale For Schizophrenia (CDSS) and mental and somatic anxiety evidence were determined by using the Hamilton Anxiety Rating Scale (HAM-A). Results: Patients’ average ages were recorded as 35.35±11.87 and education years were recorded as 9.43±3,87. Positive correlations were found using CDSS between HAM-A mental (p=0.001, r=0.739) and somatic (p=0.001, r=0.628) evidences. Negative correlations were found between life satisfaction with depression (p=0.001, r=- 0.492) and anxiety mental (p=0.001, r=-0.561) and somatic (p=0.001, r=-0.43) evidences. Differently, there weren’t found any significant relationship between activity performance and life satisfaction, and between anxiety and depression (p>0.05). Conclusion: In light of the data obtained from the study the relationship between life satisfaction and mental state of the individual has been revealed. By the Occupational therapy perspective while the specific programs are planned for the mental state of patients with schizophrenia, taking into account the individual’s life satisfaction will be valuable.Despite these findings, further studies are needed which includes larger samples with individuals with schizophrenia and controlled group UR - https://dergipark.org.tr/tr/pub/ered/issue//369703 L1 - https://dergipark.org.tr/tr/download/article-file/388717 ER -
