A total of 160 academicians participated in the study, 40 of which were teaching staff from Çukurova University Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Agriculture, Faculty of Theology and Faculty of Education. A questionnaire prepared by the researcher using the examples in the literature was applied to determine the participation status of the academicians participating in the research into physical activity. According to research findings; It was determined that 57.5% (n: 23) of the Faculty of Theology and Faculty of Education had no physical activity in the sense of sportive exercise during the day, 55% (n: 22) of the Faculty of Medicine academicians did not have any physical activity and similarly, 22.5 (n: 9) days of physical activity. According to another result of the research; The reason for not participating in daily physical activity is "overloaded course and the intensity of academic activities" at the beginning. As a result, it can be considered that increasing the participation rates of physical activity by eliminating the factors that prevent the participation of academicians in physical activity can positively affect the physical and mental health of academicians and increase their occupational performance. <o:p> </o:p> </span> </p>}, number={Special Issue 2}
