Thealloys were produced under a controlled atmosphere by a gravity castingprocess. The results show that the addition of B element modified the structure,dendrites shape change to spherical shape and decrease of the eutectic lamellarspacing. The hardness value of ZA-12 increased with adding B. The same results wereobtained by impact test. The impact energy increased with increasing B addition.
