N2  - The purpose of this study is to determine the views of 1st, 2nd and 3rd year class teachers on their own competencies on the achievement of elementary school music course curriculum objectives. In this study, qualitative research technique was used. On condition that 1st, 2nd and 3rd year class teachers have objectives that they are unable to reach in elementary school music course curriculum, the question of what their views are on the reasons of this difficulty is determined as the first sub problem and data is gathered by written open-ended questions from teachers. The question of what the steps are taken in order to develop the competencies of 1st, 2nd and 3rd year elementary school class teachers on the achievement of elementary school music course curriculum is determined as the second sub problem and data is gathered by ‘substructured interview’. The results show that the reason of difficulty of 1st, 2nd and 3rd year class teachers’ reaching elementary school music course curriculum objectives is incompetency of teachers as well as their unwillingness to improve their competencies
