N2  - Recent studies have proven the quality of Finland’s education system, where teachers have played the most important role in reaching to this level of quality. Studies have shown that the main reason behind successful students is teachers. Finland has gone through major changes with regards to these studies and concentrated on the training of teachers. Initially, Finland produced a picky system which in university applications to determine the teacher candidates. In addition to this, Finnish teachers must have a Master’s degree, besides Undergraduate degree. During their education, the teachers are expected to understand the reasoning behind critical, creative and independent thinking. Finally, for at least once a week, on-thejob trainings are organized in order to makesure that the newly became teachers can share their experiences with their co-workers, maintain being dynamic on the job, and keep up with the developing world. Also, the teachers do not have a specific criterion for evaluating the students; instead the teachers give feedback to the students in a timely basis while their coworkers and managers evaluate the teachers. Besides the training of the teachers, such as the full-service training environment, the usage of the appropriate materials and localized education syllabus can be shown as other factors for the quality of the Finnish education system. PISA and TIMMS reports prove the fact that the Finnish education system is in the top ten education systems in the world. Also, the evaluations and case studies on the Finnish education system, which specifically aims to evaluate the teacher model in detail, show that the system is successful
