AB  - Amaç: Çalışmanın amacı Toplam KaliteYönetim’inin (TKY) Türkiye’de akademik çevredeki ele alınış biçimini derinlemesineortaya koyan bir kavrayış sunmaktır.Yöntem:Araştırmada makale inceleme ve bibliyometrik analiz yöntemleri kullanılmıştır. Yönetimuygulamasının (TKY) ülkeye transferi ve yayılımı sürecini inceleyen makalelertespit edilmiş ve incelenmiş, öte yandan hakemli akademik dergilerde yayınlananTKY ile ilgili makaleler EBSCOhost veritabanı üzerinden derlenmiş, yayınlanmayılı, uygulama alanı, yaklaşım ve araştırma kategorisi boyutlarıyla kodlanarakbibliyometrik olarak analiz edilmiştir.Bulgular: TKY’ninTürkiye’deki yayılım sürecinin akademik çevrede ele alınış biçimindekikavramsal ve bulgusal olarak benzer ve farklı özellikler tespit edilmiş vevarılan ortak kanılar ortaya çıkarılmıştır. Bibliyometrik analiz sonucunda iseTürkiye’deki akademik çevrede TKY’ye olan ilgi yıl, uygulama alanı, yaklaşım vearaştırma kategorisi bazında frekans tabloları ve grafiksel gösterimler eldeedilerek ortaya koyulmuştur. Sonuç: Sonuçolarak TKY’nin Türkiye’de benimseniş şekli bir “moda akımı” olarak,“yayılma”dan ziyade “çeviri” ve “yeniden inşa” süreci olarakdeğerlendirilmiştir. Bibliyometrik analiz sonucunda konunun akademik çevredegörgül ve normatif yaklaşımlar altında eş düzeylerde ilgi gördüğü ve uygulamaalanları kamu ve özel sektör olarak sınıflandırıldığında da dengeli şekilde elealındığı tespit edilmiştir. Ayrıca yıllar bazında yayın sayılarıgözlemlendiğinde elde edilen grafiğin bir moda eğrisine benzediği dikkatçekmektedir.

N2  - Aim:The aim of the study is to present a comprehension which thoroughly exposes thetreatment of Total Quality Management in Academia of Turkey.Method:Article review and bibliometric analysis methods are used in the study. Thearticles which examine the transfer and the diffusion process of the managementpractice (TQM) to the country are detected and reviewed, on the other hand thearticles published on the refereed academic journals related to the TQM arecompiled via the EBSCOhost database, coded under the dimensions of publicationyear, field of application, approach and research category and subjected to abibliometric analysis.Findings:Common and differential features on the conceptual and heuristic nodes at the treatmentof the diffusion process of TQM in Turkey are detected; and the common opinionsare revealed. And as theresult of the bibliometric analysis, the academic interest to the TQM subjectin Turkey is shown via frequency tables and graphical illustrations on thebases of year, method, approach and field.Results: As conclusion,the adoption of TQM in Turkey is interpreted as a “translation” and“reconstruction” process rather than “diffusion”. The results show that thesubject has drawn coequal interest under empirical and normative approaches, aswell as it has been addressed evenly when the field of application wasclassified as public and private sectors. Moreover, when the publicationquantities are observed on yearly basis, the shape of the graphic stands out asa fashion cycle.
