N2  - Tonsillopharyngitis, pharyngitis, tonsillitis or nasopharyngitis and being able to occur due to non-infectious causes, is the inflammatory disease of the pharynx and tonsils. Tonsillopharyngitis is important in terms of public health because of suppurative and non-suppurative conmplications and the unnecessary use of antibiotics due to the difficulty in distinguishing between bacterial and viral agents. Viruses are the most common microorganisms causing acute tonsillopharyngitis and bacteria are in second place. The etiology can not be identified in approximately 30% of patients. In this article, acute tonsillopharyngitis was examined in the light of current knowledge
