N2  - After the rebellion of 1831, Intellectual Poles who escaped from Poland made some attempts in Europe and Ottoman Empire to regain the independence of their country. In order to achieve it Russians must have been defeated. For this purpose, during the Crimean War they took part in allied armies and also in Ottoman army. However Crimean War couldn’t lead them to independence. In this essay, within the period that includes also the Crimean War, we will examine the battles of Poles against Russians by forming legions in Ottoman territories and Caucasus
