N2  - The World War II is one of the most devastating events in the Soviet history.  Both the Soviet Union and Altai Turks warred and hundreds of young men from  Altai went to the battlefield. The rest of the people stayed behind the front lines  and served their country. They sent all their properties to the battlefield. After  the World War II although the Soviet Union won the war, destitution and the  loss of their beloved ones remained in Altai. Today they still pick up the pieces.  This depression era had an impact on literature. The influence of World War II  on Modern Altai Literature will be emphasized in this article
