N2  - Museums are places where social, economic, cultural, psychological, technological and scientific all kinds of works are picked up and exhibited. Therefore, they can be categorized as archeology, ethnography, painting, sculpture, science, art, health, industry and museums. They provide important contributions about knowledge sharing, satisfying curiosity and educating public.From Ancient Period to present, museology has made significant progress all over the world. In Ottoman, the first step by Ahmet Fethi Bey about museology turned into the strong ones by Osman Hamdi Bey. In Republic Period, it was tried to raise the level of museology, but all problems haven’t been solved yet.Museology and works specially about searching museum have taken place on the Denizli’s media from the beginning of 1960. The search on archeological museum reached a temporary solution after many years when the ruins of a Rome Bath were turned into an archeology museum in Pamukkale. At present, in Denizli, there are an archeology museum in Pamukkale, an ethnography museum and a Republic and Education Museum in Denizli High School. Denizli hasn’t had any archeology and city museum to satisfy its need despite of all efforts continued from 1960
