AB  - Bu çalışmada, halsizlik,kafasını sağa sola çarpma, yürümede güçlük, görmede bozukluk gibi klinikbulgularla ötenazisi yapılan, 17 yaşlı, erkek bir kedide intrakranialpsammomatöz meningioma olgusu tanımlandı. Hayvan sahibinin isteği ile kediötenazi edildi.  Histolojik incelemede,atipik özellikler gösteren, mekik şekilli, belirgin eozinofilik sitoplazmalı,yuvarlak çekirdekli hücrelerin aralarında yoğun kollajen demetlerin varlığıgörüldü. Ayrıca çok sayıda konsantrik lamellasyonlardan oluşan girdapların merkezlerindebazofilik mineralizasyon alanlarının olduğu psammom adacıkları dikkati çekti.Bu yapıların aralarında yarıklar halinde kollesterin kristallerinin olduğu farkedildi. Sonuç olarak kedilerde sık rastlandığı bildirilen ancak ülkemizde ilkkez bir kedide saptanan intrakranial psammomatöz meningioma makroskobik vemikroskobik bulguları ile tanımlanmıştır.

N2  - In thepresent study, intracranial psammomatous meningioma was described in a 17 yearsold, male cat is submitted to clinics with history of weakness, incoordination,difficulty in walking and oversight. The animal is euthanatized with request ofowner of cat. Histological examination revealed the presence of dense collagenbundles between the round nucleated cells with atypical features,shuttle-shaped, marked eosinophilic cytoplasm. In addition, psammom islands,where basophilic mineralization areas are located in the centers of vorticescomposed of many concentric lamellations, have been noted. At necropsy, thecadaver is evaluated systematically as to routin necropsy method. Collestrinclefts were seen between collestrin crystals. As a result, although intracranialpsammomatous meningioma seen frequently in cats, the tumour was described withmacroscopic and microscopic findings in a cat, in our country initially.
