Aneurysms of the splenic artery are a rare complication of portal hypertension in adults because of increased splenic artery blood flow as a result of the hyperdynamic circulation that occurs in cirrhosis. They are more common in females and also occur in association with diabetes mellitus, vascular disease such as arteriosclerosis, multiparity and alpha-1-antitrypsin deficiency. Most true splenic artery aneurysms are asymptomatic and are diagnosed incidentally. The risk of rupture increases with pregnancy, with portal hypertension, and after liver transplantation. We present a case of two aneurysms of distal segmental branch of splenic artery in adults with chronic liver disease and portal hypertension.}, number={1}, publisher={Bursa Uludağ Üniversitesi}
