The EU and the USA aimed to increase their cooperation, gain superiority to the economies that have risen even during the recession, and improve the social welfare level through TTIP. When the place and economic size of the EU and the USA in world trade are considered, it is estimated that TTIP will significantly affect world economic balances. It is inevitable that third-country economies like Turkey will be affected by this partnership. In the present study, the scope and content of TTIP are examined and its importance is emphasized in terms of Turkish foreign trade. Within this context, the study aims to reveal the adverse effects that Turkish foreign trade may face in case this partnership is realized. In accordance with this purpose, by using the data from the period 2000-2015, reciprocal trade relations were examined in order to predict possible trade-balance changes between Turkey and the United States. Foreign trade was analyzed on the basis of product groups using Classification by Broad Economic Categories (BEC) and Standard International Trade Classification (SITC), and Revealed Comparative Advantage indices were calculated.
