AB  - İnsanlarda evren, dünya ve doğayı anlama gayretlerineticesinde oluşan merak duygusu, astronomi ile fen bilimleri arasında derinbağların oluşmasına sebep olmuştur. Buna göre, araştırmanın amacı, temel eğitimdüzeyindeki öğrencilerin Dünya ve Evren konularına ilişkin tutumlarınınincelenmesi olarak belirlenmiştir. Araştırma, deneysel araştırma yöntemlerindentek gruplu ön-test/son-test yarı deneysel deseninde yürütülmüştür. Araştırmanınörneklemi MEB’e bağlı bir ilkokul ile bir ortaokul sınıflarında öğrenim görenöğrencilerden oluşmaktadır. Araştırmada ön-test ve son-testte 320’si erkek ve262’si kız öğrenci olmak üzere toplam 582 kişiden oluşan aynı öğrencilerinsonuçları dikkate alınmıştır. Veri toplamak amacıyla Dünya ve Evren konularınailişkin 5’li Likert tipi ölçek, ilgili üniteler anlatılmadan önce ön-test veanlatıldıktan sonra ise son-test olarak uygulanmıştır. Ölçeğin ön-testuygulaması sonrası güvenirlik katsayısı değeri 0.864 ve son-test uygulamasısonrası güvenirlik katsayısı değeri 0.860 olarak bulunmuştur. Araştırmadaön-test sonuçları ortalama 99.24 (% 73.5), son-test sonuçları ortalama 97.37’(% 72) dir. Buna göre genel olarak, öğrencilerde Dünya ve Evren konularınailişkin tutumda kısmen bir azalma olduğu görülmektedir. Ancak bu azalmaistatistiksel olarak anlamlı değildir, t(1162) = 1.571, (p˃.05). Sonuçlar altproblemler düzeyinde incelendiğinde tutumun, cinsiyete göre değişmediği,okullar düzeyinde ilkokul lehine olduğu, sınıflar düzeyinde üçüncü, beşinci,yedinci ve sekizinci sınıflarda azalma yönünde, dördüncü ve altıncı sınıflardaise artma yönünde olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Ayrıca tutumun, “Günlük yaşamdaDünya ve Evren”, ve “Dünya ve Evrene karşı duyulan ilgi ve alaka” faktördüzeylerinde azalma yönünde, “Dünya ve Evrene karşı duyulan özgüven” faktördüzeyinde ise artma yönünde olduğu görülmüştür.

N2  - The sense of wonder which aroused from humankind’s strugglefor understanding nature, world and universe created powerful links betweenAstronomy and Science. The aim of the research is to investigate students’attitudes towards subjects related to Earth and Universe developmentally. Thestudy was conducted in a single-group pre-test / post-test quasi-experimentaldesign of experimental research methods. The sample of the research consists ofstudents who are educated in elementary and secondary school associated withNational Education Ministry. In the research, totally 582 students’ resultsincluding 320 male and 262 female students are taken into consideration. Inorder to collect data, five point likert scale about the subjects of Earth andUniverse is applied as pre-test before the units are taught and as a post-testafter teaching. The scale was administered to 48 students in the pilot program.The pretest reliability coefficient was 0.864 and the post-test reliabilitycoefficient was 0.860. Pre-test results of attitude scale applied before theunits in the field of World and Universe are 99.24 (73.5%) on average and afterthese subjects are taught, pos-test results are 97.30’ (% 72). Accordingly, itis seen that students’ attitude towards World and Universe decreased partiallyin general. However, this decrease is not significant statistically, t (1162) =1.571, (p ˃ .05). When the results are examined with regard to subproblems, itis viewed that the attitude does not change in terms of gender, it is in thefavor of elementary school students in the school level, and in the classlevel, it decreases in 3th, 5th, 7th and 8th grades but increases in 4th and6th grades. Besides, attitude is in the direction of decrease in the factors‘’Earth and Universe in daily life’’, and ‘’ Interest in Earth and Universe’’,but it is in the direction of increase in the factor ‘’Self-Confidence forEarth and Universe’’.
