N2  - Mucinous tumors of the appendix are rarely encountered. These  neoplasms may be accompanied by pseudomyxoma peritonei (PMP).  In this case; patients may be referred to gynecologic oncologists with  suspicion of ovarian cancer. Herein; we report a case of low grade  mucinous tumor of the appendix which was diagnosed and treated in  our institution's gynecologic oncology department. Current treatment  strategies for these cases are also discussed.
