TY - JOUR T1 - Türkiye Şeker Pancarı Üretim Alanlarında Beet virus Q’nun Yaygınlığı TT - Prevalence of Beet Virus Q in Sugar Beet Production Areas of Turkey AU - Kutluk Yılmaz, Nazlı Dide AU - Erkan, Ebru PY - 2017 DA - December JF - The Journal of Turkish Phytopathology PB - Türkiye Fitopatoloji Derneği WT - DergiPark SN - 0378-8024 SP - 53 EP - 60 VL - 46 IS - 2 LA - tr AB - Şeker pancarı (Beta vulgaris L.) plasmodiophorid vektör Polymyxa betae tarafından taşınan Beet necrotic yellow vein virus (BNYVV), Beet soil-borne virus (BSBV), Beet soil-borne mosaic virus (BSBMV) ve Beet virus Q (BVQ) gibi toprak kökenli virüslerden etkilenmektedir. KW - Şeker pancarı KW - BVQ KW - RNA-1 KW - RT-PCR N2 - Sugar beet (Betavulgaris L.) is affected by soil-borne viruses transmitted by the plasmodiophoridvector Polymyxa betae such as Beet necrotic yellow vein virus (BNYVV),Beet soil-borne virus (BSBV), Beet soil-borne mosaic virus (BSBMV) andBeet virus Q (BVQ). BVQ has oftenbeen reported with BNYVV and BSBV. Therefore, 82 soil samples known to beinfested with BNYVV and/or BSBV while 21 soil samples infested with P. betae were selected on the basis oftheir geographical locations in 31 provinces inTurkey and usedin bait plant tests. The presence of BVQ wasinvestigated by RT-PCR using the primers specific to RNA-1 segment. Ninetyone of the 103 soil samples gave positive reaction for BVQ. The study showedthat BVQ was very common (88.35%) in all provinces except Gaziantep. To ourknowledge, this is the first report of the occurrence of BVQ in Turke CR - Borodynko, N., 2006.
