TY - JOUR T1 - A REVIEW ON THE HYDROGELS USED IN 3D BIO-PRINTING TT - 3D BIYO-YAZICILARDA KULLANILAN HİDROJELLER ÜZERİNE BİR İNCELEME AU - Topuz, Mehmet AU - Dikici, Burak AU - Gavgalı, Mehmet AU - Yılmazer, Hakan PY - 2018 DA - July JF - International Journal of 3D Printing Technologies and Digital Industry JO - IJ3DPTDI PB - Kerim ÇETİNKAYA WT - DergiPark SN - 2602-3350 SP - 68 EP - 75 VL - 2 IS - 2 LA - en AB - The bio-printingprocess describes asa computer-aided transfer process for printing of biological structures such as cells and biomaterials to fabricate medicalconstructions for different medical fields (tissue engineering, regenerativemedicine, or other biological studies). Especially, three-dimension (3D) bio-printing technology is used to print livingorgans like livers, kidneys, lungs, and any other organs in the body. Hydrogels have been widely used in 3D bio-printingto load cell for tissue engineering due to their high biocompatibility. Inaddition, hydrogels simulate the soft tissues which present in the body, swollen in water at high levels and have similar mechanical properties to thoseof natural soft tissues, many researchers have been interested in hydrogels andtheir reputations are increasing day by day. They are generally divided intotwo groups as (i) natural hydrogels and (ii) synthetic hydrogels. Key documentsin the literature about both natural and synthetic hydrogels have been reviewedin this study. Also, 3D bio-printing process of the hydrogels has been discussed as detailly.
