Yapılan çalışmalar sırasıyla arazi, laboratuvar ve duraylılıkanalizi çalışmaları olmak üzere üç aşamada yürütülmüştür. Bu amaçla toplam 108m derinliğinde 3 adet sondaj kuyusu açılmış, 1 profilde jeofizik çalışmalargerçekleştirilmiş ve 1 sondaj kuyusunda inklinometre ölçümleri yapılmıştır.Arazi çalışmaları sonucunda ana kayayı Eosen yaşlı Kabaköy Formasyonu’na ait volkanikkayaçların oluşturduğu ve bu birimlerin üzerine alttan üstte doğrukumlu-çakıllı ve killi-siltli olmak üzere iki seviyeden oluşan yamaç molozunungeldiği saptanmıştır. Yamaç molozunun fiziko-mekanik özelliklerini belirlemekiçin araştırma sondajlarından örselenmemiş örnekler alınmıştır. Arazi velaboratuvar çalışmalarından elde edilen veriler yardımıyla sonlu elemanlartabanlı 2D ve 3D Kayma Dayanımı Azaltma Yaklaşımı (FEM-SSR) yöntemlerikullanılarak duraylılık analizleri yapılmış ve sonuçlarının birbiriyle uyumluolduğu saptanmıştır. Sonuç olarak kazı şevinde önlem alınmaması durumunda önünegeçilemez mühendislik sorunlarıyla karşılaşılacağı belirlenmiştir. Desteklemeyöntemi olarak ise forekazık uygulamasının yapılması önerilmektedir. KW - Duraylılık analizi KW - 2D ve 3D FEM-SSR yöntemi KW - İnklinometre ölçümleri N2 - In the scopeof this study, the stability problem in the soil slope excavated for theconstruction of the new government hospital in the Yeniyol (Borçka-Artvin) quarterwas investigated in terms of engineering geology. The studies were performed inthree stages as field, laboratory works and stability analyses. For thispurpose, three boreholes with a total of 108 meters in length were drilled,geophysical studies were performed along the one line and inclinometermeasurements were taken in one borehole. The talus consisting of two levels assandy-gravelly and silty-clayey soils overlies the Eocene-aged KabaköyFormation comprising the volcanic rocks. To determine the physico-mechanicalproperties of talus, undisturbed samples were taken from boreholes. 2D and 3D FEM-SSRstability analyses were evaluated using the obtained data from field andlaboratory studies. It was determined that the stability analyses results are compatiblewith each other. As a result, it was determined that unforeseen engineeringproblems will be encountered if measures are not taken in the slope. It issuggested to apply fore pile application as support method.
