AB  - Bu çalışmada mühendisliktasarımında kullanılan klasik yöntem ile son zamanlarda yaygın bir kullanımalanı bulmaya başlayan &asılı& dayalı tasarım metodu karılaştırılmalıolarak verilmiştir. İlk olarak gerilme-dayanım yaklaşımı verilmiş ve buna bağlıolarak geliştirilen FOSM (birinci-derece ikinci moment yaklaşımı detaylı olarakanlatılmış ve bu yöntemin eksikliklerin gidermek amacıyla geliştirilen FORM(birinci-dereceden güvenilirlik yöntemi) ve SORM (ikinci-dereceden güvenilirlikyöntemi) yöntemleri verilmiştir. Bu yöntemlerden farklı olarak simülasyonadayanan Monte Carlo Simülasyonu anlatılmıştır. Verilen bu yöntemlerin uygulanışıbir örnek vasıtasıyla gösterilmiştir.
