AB  - Okulda çok sayıda öğrenci bir arada bulunduğu için uygun olmayan koşulların varlığında bulaşıcı hastalıkların görülmesi ve yayılması daha kolay olmaktadır. Enfeksiyon hastalıklarını önlemek vekontrol etmek okul hemşiresinin en temel rolüdür. Okul-temelli bulaşıcı hastalık yönetiminde; aşılamanın geliştirilmesi, bireysel ve okul çapında enfeksiyon kontrol önlemleri, bulaşıcı hastalığın türünün tespiti, bulaşıcı hastalıkların yönetimi ve yayılmasının önlenmesi; hastalık gözetim ve raporlama temel bileşenlerdir. Okul hemşireleri bu unsurların yönetiminde kritik rol oynarlar. Ülkemizde her okulun bünyesinde sağlık hizmetleri sunan bir okul sağlığı ekibi bulunmamaktadır. Ancak; okullarda okul sağlığı hizmetlerinin kesintisiz verilebilmesi için kadrolu olarak çalışacak sağlık personeli görevlendirilmelidir. Son yıllarda eğitimciler, sağlıkçılar ve sivil toplum kuruluşları ‘Her okula bir hemşire’ anlayışında birleşmişlerdir. Ülkemizde her okula bir hemşire istihdamı ile bulaşıcı hastalıkların kontrolünde ivme sağlanılacaktır. Makale, okul ortamında bulaşıcı hastalıklardan korunma konusunda rehber olması amacıyla yazılmıştır.

School nurses are critical role in the management of these elements. In our country, there is not a school health team providing health services within each school. But; school health services in schools that will work in order to give permanent staff continuous health staff should be appointed. In recent years, educators, health professionals and civil society organizations 'Every school has a nurse' are united under the title. In our country, it will be achievable acceleration in the control of infectious diseases, a nurse employed in each school. Therefore; This article was written to provide guidance on the prevention of diseases in the school environment.
