N2  - This article analyzes perception aboutacademics in Turkey through a very popular website (eksisozluk.com). Thearticle employs systematic analysis to identify and analyze comments aboutacademics in the website. Eksisozluk.com is chosen because people cananonymously write on there; therefore they can tell something which generallycannot be said face to face. When we looked at the site, we saw top eighttitles about academics and there are hundreds of comments for each entry. Wehave analyzed fifty of comments for each entry which makes four hundred ofcomments in total. The comments are analyzed by the method of content analysisand the results affirm there is a high negative perception about academics inTurkey.
