AB  - Göç, emek arzını farklıkültürlerden ve coğrafyalardan gelen işgücünün sahip olduğu beşeri sermaye ilenitelik açısından genişletebilme özelliğini taşımaktadır. Göç, yerli emeğinikamesi olmak yerine yerli emeği tamamlayıcı özelliğe sahip olduğu takdirdegöçmen işgücünün kendi coğrafyasında edindiği yetenek ve becerileri yerli emeğekazandırma vasıtasıyla verimliliği, bilgi aktarımını dolayısıyla da yeniliğiteşvik etme özelliğine sahiptir. Günümüz sanayileşmiş ekonomilerinin iktisadibaşarılarının arkasında yatan en önemli nedenlerden birisini, göç vasıtasıylabu ekonomilere gelen çeşitli nitelikteki göçmen işgücü teşkil etmektedir. Buçalışma ile göçün özellikle Türkiye ve Avrupa gündeminde önemli yer aldığıgünümüzde, “Göç, Türkiye’nin ve Avrupa Birliği’nin büyüme ve devamında kalkınmastratejisi için faydalı bir araç mıdır?” sorusunu ampirik olarak cevaplamayıamaçlamaktadır. Bu amaçla Türkiye ve Avrupa Birliği için göç ve toplam faktör verimliliğiarasındaki ilişki 1990 ve 2016 yılları arasın için Panel Veri Analizi metoduile analiz edilmiştir. Yapılan analiz sonuçlarına göre göçün verimliliküzerinde anlamlı bir etkiye sahip olmadığı sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.
