AB  - Lagerstroemia indica Türkiye’nin sahilbölgelerinde en yaygın kullanılan süs bitkilerinden biridir. Bu ağacın fidanlıkkültürlerindeki bazı bitki hastalıkları genellikle epidemik olup pek fazla önemtaşırlar. Bu nedenle, fidanlık ve dikim alanlarında uygun koşullarda ciddihastalık problemleri ortaya çıkar. Bu çalışmada, Düzce’de 2015-2017 surveyyıllarında dört yararlı böcek hariç, toplamda yedi zararlı tür bulunmuştur. Tinocallis kahawaluokalani ve Erysiphe australiana’nın neden olduğu fidan zararlarıve hastalıkları önemli olarak tanımlanmıştır. Sörvey yöntemlerine bağlı olarak zararlınınerken dönemde tespiti ve kimyasal mücadelesi ortaya konulmuştur. Sonuç olarak yoğunenfekte görülen bütün fidanlarda yapılan kimyasal uygulamalarda;2015 yılı Haziran sonunda %22.5, 2016 yılı Mart sonunda ise %100 başarı eldeedilmiştir. Bu alanlarda kimyasal mücadelenin pratikte mümkün ve ekonomikolarak uygulanabilir olması dışında zararlılarla savaş stratejisi, büyük ölçüdebitki-zararlı fenolojisi, kültürel, silvikültürel ve işletme stratejilerinedayanır.
