TY - JOUR T1 - Determination of the evaluation criteria for agritourism via delphi and analytic hierarchy process methods: a case study in Turkey AU - Uludağ, Ahmet Serhat AU - Erdoğan, Evrim PY - 2019 DA - April Y2 - 2019 DO - 10.21121/eab.454115 JF - Ege Academic Review JO - eab PB - Ege Üniversitesi WT - DergiPark SN - 1303-099X SP - 245 EP - 264 VL - 19 IS - 2 LA - en AB - The population is decreasing in theregions where agricultural lands are prevalent, agricultural areas are not usedeffectively and efficiently, and both the afore-said regions and the peopleliving there show a recession with each passing day in terms of economic, social and cultural aspects. This study examines from a different angle theagritourism which can be considered as an alternative option for the creationof a significant impact which may decelerate, stop or even reverse theabove-mentioned recession. Accordingly, the main objective of the study is todetermine and weight the evaluation criteria for agritourism. Decision-makingtechniques such as Delphi and Analytic Hierarchy Process methods have been usedfor this purpose. 52 evaluation criteria have been determined by common consentthrough a Delphi study consisting of three rounds. The Analytic Hierarchy Process(AHP) method has been used for the determination of the priorities in thespecified criteria and for the calculation of their weights. In this way, ithas been aimed to contribute to the studies that will be carried out in orderto determine the existence of agritourism potentials in any region.
