N2  - Coat Colors and Markings On Head and Legs and Their Genetic Aspects in Arabian Horses in Turkey. This investigation was conducted on 2935 pure-breed Arabian Horses born between 1963 - 1979 at state farms in Turkey and registered in Stood - book for Arabian Horses. The rate of coat colors are 74.55 % chestnut, 19.70 % bay, 5.50 % grey, 0.25 % black. None izabelle and dun were observed among our materials and also in the three reports wich had been publised in this field, covering the last 40 years. The rate of chestnut increased from 37.67 % to 74.55 %; rate of grey decreased from 40.07 % to 5.50 %. There was no change in the occurence of bay in the last 40 years. Of the 79.11 % of the material had marking on head and legs, 19.57 % only on head, 0.4 % only at legs and 0.89 % had no markings at all. The coat colors of foals born from mares and stallions having different colors were tabulated
