N2  - Important developments have occured about invitro fertilization by under standing summary of the gamet physiology and fertilization mechanism in mammalian animals Although succesfull studies have been carried out on experimental animals and man, studies with livestock animals also gives good results since 1978. Invitro fertilizatioin consists of stages that oocyst maturations sperma capacitation, fertilization and storage of embryo in suitable medium. In this article we attempt to give the stages mentioned above and informations about observed studies
