Bu kapsamda 1986-2014 dönemine ait yıllık ham petrol fiyatları veistihdam verileri kullanılarak gerçekleştirilen analizde söz konusu ülkeleriçin petrol fiyatları ile istihdam oranları arasında eşbütünleşme venedensellik ilişkisinin varlığı tespit edilmiştir. Günümüzkoşullarında sanayi üretiminin en önemli girdisi enerji tüketimindenkaynaklanan maliyetler olup petrol fiyatları bu maliyetlerin ortaya konmasındaönemli bir gösterge niteliği taşımaktadır.
