Çalışma iki aşamada gerçekleştirilmiştir. Birinciaşamada eğitimli gözlemci değerlendirmesi ile İçerişehir ve çevresindekikentsel imaj öğeleri Kevin Lynch’in tespit ettiği yönteme göre belirlenmiştir.İkinci aşamada ise Bakü kent genelinde yaşamakta olan yirmi üç kişiyleayrıntılı bir görüşme yapılmış ve buna bağlı olarak kent merkezinin kentselimaj analizi ortaya çıkartılmıştır. Yapılan değerlendirme sonucunda, İpek Yoludönemini simgeleyen ve kentin tarihi çekirdeğinde konumlanan hangi ögelerinkentli imgesinde ne kadar yer edindiği tespit edilmiş, yer edinen ve edinmeyenögelerin bu sonuca ulaşılmasındaki etkenler açığa çıkarılmaya çalışılmıştır. KW - kent imajı KW - Tarihi İpek Yolu KW - Azerbaycan KW - Bakü İçerişehir N2 - A study was conducted to determine the place of theancient monuments of historical Silk Road in and about Baku Old City in theimage of the city. The study was carried out in two stages. In the first stage,elements of city image in and about Baku Old City were identified according toKevin Lynch’s method, using trained observer consideration. In the second stagea detailed interview was conducted with 23 locals who live in various parts ofBaku. Then, an analysis of city image was conducted based on the results of theinterviews. Assessment of the analysishelped to identify which historical elements of Silk Road, being at thehistorical core of the city, attain a place in the image of the city and howbig that place is, and why some of those elements are memorable while othersnot. As a result of the findings, it was revealed thatthe participants perceived the internal city as a whole.
