N2  - Crisis, as a concept in thejield ojpsychiatry is one without a remote history. it has not been long since it has settled in to ii's current position. Crisis is defmed as a period of timefoüowing stressful life events; a lurning point. ît is not a pathological state, however, ifnot managed well it can lead to pathological conseauences. Therefore the crisis concept is one which should be known wett by ali psychiatric proffesstonal.The crisis concept, the goals and basl£ principles of crisis intervention have been discussed in this study.
