AB  - Tüketim ve yatırım gibiiktisadi kararlar üzerinde etkisi olduğu düşünülen ekonomik belirsizliklerinhanehalkının hayati kararları üzerinde de etkisi olduğu düşünülmektedir. Hanehalkınınhayati kararlarından biri olan çocuk sahibi olma ile ekonomik belirsizlikarasındaki ilişkinin açığa kavuşturulması bu çalışmanın amacınıoluşturmaktadır. Bu ilişkinin ortaya çıkarılmasında 1990-2017 yılları arasındaTürkiye’ye ait kişi başı gelirdeki değişim oranları, hizmet sektöründe kadınişgücüne katılım oranları, gelir dalgalanmalarından türetilen ekonomikbelirsizlik, işsizlik oranları ve doğurganlık oranları verileri kullanılmıştır.Bu çalışmada ekonomik belirsizliğin ölçümünde gelir dalgalanmalarındantüretilen GARCH analizi ile elde edilen koşullu beklenti operatörleri veişsizlik oranları olmak üzere iki farklı değişken tercih edilmiştir. Ekonomikbelirsizliğin doğurganlık hızı üzerindeki etkisi iki farklı model kullanılarakARDL yöntemiyle analiz edilmiştir. Analiz bulgularına göre ekonomik belirsizliğiyansıtan koşullu varyans ve işsizlik oranları doğurganlık hızını negatif yönlüetkilemektedir.

N2  - Economic uncertainties are thought to be influential on economicdecisions such as consumption and investment and also on vital decisions of thehousehold. The aim of this study is to clarify the relationship between thedecision of having children which is among vital decisions of the household andeconomic uncertainty. In revealing this relationship, the data concerningchange rates in per capita income, rates of participating in female labor forcein the service sector, economic uncertainty derived from income fluctuations,unemployment rates and fertility rates in Turkey during the period of 1990-2017were used. In the study, two different variables were chosen to measure theeconomic uncertainty: conditional expectation operators obtained with GARCHanalysis and derived from income fluctuations and unemployment rates. Theimpact of economic uncertainty on the fertility rate was analyzed with the ARDLmethod using two different models. According to the findings of the analysis,the conditional variance and the unemployment rates which reflect the economicuncertainty affect the fertility rate negatively.
