KW - Plastikler KW - biyoplastik KW - biyodegradasyon KW - biyobozunur plastik. N2 - Looking at today, plastics are widely used becausethey are made of semi-synthetic or synthetic compounds, are easily shaped, easyto produce and sensitive to water, chemicals and environmental changes (light, temperature, etc.). Plastic waste pollution, which increases inparallel with production, poses a significant threat to both the environmentand fossil fuel sources. Bioplastics, which are more environmentallyfriendly materials with developing environmental awareness, are considered tobe an important alternative in this regard. The general definitionof bioplastics is referred to as plastics obtained from renewable biologicalsources such as vegetable fats and oils, plant starches or microorganisms. Alternatively, the preferenceof bioplastics is intended to sustain the increase of renewable resources. Consumption ofrenewable resources such as agricultural wastes and biodegradation in differentenvironments have made bioplastics easier to adopt. Biodegradation ofbioplastics is due to their physical and chemical structure. Bioplastics areconsidered to be environmentally friendly products and adapt to thetechnologies used, thus increasing their usage in the future. CR - [1] Emadian M. S., Onay T., Demirel B., 2017.
