AB  - GastrointestinalStromal Tümörler (GİST) nadir görülen mezenkimal tümörlerdir. En sık midedegörülürler. Bu tümörler genellikle asemptomatiktir. Boyutu 2 cm nin üzerineçıktığında semptomatik olabilirler. Gelişen endoskobik ve radyolojik görüntüleme teknikleri sayesinde çoğuGİST hastada henüz semptom vermeden insidental olarak fark edilir. Kesin tanıiçin biyopsi şarttır.  Hastalığın tekküratif tedavisi cerrahi eksizyondur. Cerrahi rezeksiyon sağlanamayanhastalarda tirozin kinazın inhibitörü olan İmatinib mesilat tedavi seçeneğiolarak kullanılmaktadır. Bu olguda rektum yerleşimli GIST’e bağlı olarakgelişen masif rektal kanama nedeni ile acil cerrahi operasyon planlamışolduğumuz vakayı sunmaktayız.

N2  - Gastrointestinal Stromal Tumors (GIST) are rare mesenchymal tumors. The stomach is the most common. these tumors are usually asymptomatic. They may be symptomatic when the size is over 2 cm. Because of the developing endoscopic and radiological imaging techniques, most GISTs are incidentally recognized in the patient without symptoms yet. A biopsy is essential for definitive diagnosis. The only curative treatment of the disease is surgical excision. Imatinibmesylate, an inhibitor of tyrosine kinase, is used as a treatment option in patients without surgical resection.In this case, we present cases in which we planned emergency surgical operation with massive rectal bleeding due to GIST in the rectum.
