AB  - In this paper, it was aimed to report the type IMonteggia fracture in a kitten and its treatment results. In clinicalexamination of a 4-month-old female kitten brought to our clinic withcomplaints of lameness in the front left leg after automobile trauma it wasdiagnosed with a fracture in 1/3 proximal diaphyseal of ulna with cranialdislocation of the radial head. Following general anesthesia, ulnar fracturewas fixed with intramedullary nail that was sent as anterograde from theprocessus olecrani, and the reduction of the radius head was easily placed.Then, it was repaired suturing with polypropylene of the ligamentum radiiannulare. It was understood that the kitten could use the extremity smoothlyand functionally in postoperative 2 months. Consequently, the internal fixationwith intramedullary nail was sufficient, and therefore it was thought to be asuccessful method for type I Monteggia fracture in kittens or cats.

N2  - Bu olgu sunumunda yavru bir kedide karşılaşılantip I Monteggia kırığı ve tedavi sonuçlarının bildirilmesi amaçlandı. Trafikkazasından sonra ön sol ekstremitesinde topallık şikayeti ile kliniğimizegetirilen 4 aylık dişi bir kedi yavrusunun klinik muayenesinde radial başınkraniale dislokasyonu ile ulnanın 1/3 proksimalinde diafizer kırık belirlendi.Genel anestezi altında ulnar kırık processus olecraniden anterograd olarakgönderilen intrameduller çivi ile fikse edildi ve radiusun redüksiyonu kolaybir şekilde gerçekleştirildi. Daha sonra ligamentum radii annulare polypropyleneile dikilerek onarıldı. Postoperatif 2. ay kontrollerinde kedininekstremitesini düzgün ve fonksiyonel bir şekilde kullanabildiği görüldü. Sonuçolarak kedi veya yavrularında Monteggia tip I kırıklarında intrameduller çiviile sağlanan internal fiksasyonun yeterli olduğu ve bu yüzden başarılı biryöntem olduğu düşünüldü.
