the freshwater halacarid mite specimens collected from four different provinces
(Antalya, Denizli, Isparta and Muğla) of Turkey, two species of the genus <i>Halacarellus </i> and <i>Porohalacarus </i> are reported and illustrated in the present study. <i>Halacarellus hyrcanus </i> (Viets, 1928) is
only recored from Muğla, while <i>Porohalacarus
alpinus </i> (Thor, 1910) is recorded from Isparta, Denizli and Antalya. The deutonymph
of <i>P. alpinus </i> is given first time in
this study with original illustrations. Additionally, comparisons of the
worldwide idiosoma lengths and localities of the two species are presented
