AB  - Son dönemlerdebeşeri sermaye gelişmekte olan ülkelerde önemli bir faktör olmaktadır. Çünkübeşeri sermayenin temel bileşenlerinden biri olan sağlık harcamaları ekonomikbüyümede etkilidir. Günümüzde ekonomik kalkınma düzeyleriyle gelişmekte olanülkeler arasında yer alan BRICS ülkelerinin hızla büyüyen ekonomileri dikkatçekmektedir. Bu çalışmada 1995-2014 dönem verileri kullanılarak ekonomik vesosyal gelişmeleriyle dikkat çeken bu ülkelerin sağlık harcamalarınınbelirleyicilerini Türkiye’nin de içinde yer aldığı BRICS-T grubu içerisindeincelemiştir. Çalışmada ülkelerin sağlık harcamalarının belirleyicileri PanelVektör Otoregresif (VAR) yöntemiyle analiz edilmiştir. PanelSistem GMM yaklaşımı kullanılarak tahmin edilen Panel VAR analizsonuçlarına göre belirlenmiş yıl aralığında toplamsağlık harcamalarının yaşlanan nüfus ve kadın ölüm oranları değişkenlerininegatif ve anlamlı olarak etkilediği, erkek ölüm oranı ile gayri safi yurtiçihâsılayı ise pozitif ve anlamlı olarak etkilediği sonucuna varılmıştır. Grangernedensellik testi sonuçlarına göre ise bağımlı değişken ile diğer değişkenlerarasında çift yönlü anlamlı bir ilişki olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.

N2  - In recent years, human capital is an important factor in developing countries. Because health expenditures, whichare one of the basic components of human capital, are effective in economic growth. Today, the rapidly growingeconomies of BRICS countries, which are among the developing countries with their economic development,attract attention. This study is examined data from the 1995-2014 period, using their remarkable economic andsocial development that takes place in these countries including Turkey determinants of health expenditure inBRICS-T group. In this study, the determinants of the health expenditures of the countries are analyzed with thePanel Vector Autoregressive (VAR) method. According to the results of Panel VAR analysis using Panel SystemGMM approach, it has been concluded that total health expenditures in the year determined according to theresults of Panel VAR analysis negatively and significantly affect the aging population and female mortality rates,while the male death rate and gross domestic product affect positively and significantly. According to the results ofGranger causality test, there is a bi-direction relation between dependent variable and other variables.
