AB  - Bu çalışma, Fasciola gigantica 'nın Van ve yöresinde yaygınlığı ile, buparazite arakonakçılık yapan Lymnea türü sümüklülerinmevcudiyetini araştırmakamacıyla yapılmıştır. Bunun için Van Belediye Mezbahası 'nda kesilen 345 koyun, 115keçi ve 145sığınn karaciğer ve safra kanallari  Fasciola gigantica yönünden muayene edilmişlerdir. Bununla beraberpilot bolge olarak seçilen köylerdeki mera yapılari ekolojik olarak incelenmiş ve buralarda bulunan Lymnea türü sümüklüler tespit edilmişlerdir.Mezbahada kesilen koyunlann % 15.6'si,keçilerin % 18.2 'si, sığırlarinise  %25.2'sinin Fasciola gigantica ile enfekte olduğutespit edilmiştir. Pilot köylerde ise otopsiyapılan 16 koyunun 7'sinde, 12 keçinin 5'inde Fasciola gigantica'ya rastlanılmıştır.Bukoylerde yapılan mera kontrolleri sonucunda 2 sümüklü türü (Lymnea auricularia,Lymneatruncatula) tespit edilmiştir.

N2  - This study was carriedout to investigate the incidences of Fasciolagigantica and the presence of snailof Lymnea species, an intermediate host to thisparasite,in  and around Van. For this purpose,the liversand bile ducts of 345 sheep,115goatsand 145 cattle were examined in terms of Fasciolagigantica. In addition, five pilotvillages of Van were determined and necropywas conducted on 16 sheepand 12 goats. Thelivers ofthese animals were examined in terms of Fasciola gigantica, as well. However,the texture ofpasture was examined ecologically and snails of Lymnea species weredetermined. 15.6 % of sheep, 18.2 % of goats and 25.2 % of cattles slaughtered atVan. Slaughterhousewere found to be infected with Fasciola gigantica. As to the pilotvillages,in 7sheep out of 16 and in 5 out of 12 goatsFasciola gigantica were encountered. Atthe result of study of pastures, twosnail species (Lymnea auricularia,Lymneatruncatula) were determined.
