N2  - This article briefly analyzes the hadīth-related content of TDV Encyclopedia of Islam.  This encyclopedia, 13 percent of which comprises of entries related to hadīth, covers  almost all significant aspects of the science of hadīth ranging from the history and  methodology of hadīth to its literature. Hadīth entries have served the function of a  guide book for academic studies, not only with their content but also with their writing  style and bibliographies. Following the introductory remarks on TDV Encyclopedia of  Islam, the article establishes the encyclopedia’s contributers, and provides the reader  with an overview of hadīth entries, with an analytical approach. Last but not least,  the article points out some shortcomings or imprecise details of these entries.
